History Brush

To do this go to adjustments, turn down the hue adjustment, add a new layer, and then use the history brush tool to color in the sections you want to be colorful again. I chose this picture to focus on color because the background was all brown and gross. I didn't think it would matter anyway and bringing out the green in the leaves makes it more interesting because it makes these three leaves the main subject.

Overall, I think this photo turned out pretty well and wasn't very difficult because the steps to complete it were pretty simple. I definitely like it a lot better than the original picture because it has a subject. One thing I would change though is the space in between the biggest leaf. I just noticed there is a little yellow spot that stands out a bit if you zoom in. It isn't too noticable though.

Composite

The assignment was to combine two different photos. The top half with the blue ski and fluffy

clouds is a picture I took in Florida. The bottom half is a sunset over Lake Michigan. To combine the two subjects, I blended them together by using the blending modes and opacity tool. Then, I clicked on layer one and added a layer mask. Unfortunately, my photos were not very easy to blend so after making a slight change with the layer mask, I started using the feathered eraser tool to make the clouds on top stand out more.

This is one of my favorite pictures so far this semester. The only thing that made me frustrated was the layer mask because it didn't help as much as I was hoping but the eraser tool was very simple. I like how the clouds stand out though and how it all blends together. If I could change one thing, it would to make the bottom half a little lighter so it looked more like one scene.
